ZYRTEC® and ZYRTEC-D® 12 HOUR® to be Available in Stores Nationwide Starting January 24, 2008

A few months ago, Zyrtec-D (5mg Cetirizine HCl, 120mg Pseudoephedrine HCl) has been approved by the FDA for over-the-counter sale as an allergy drug for adults and children ages 12 years and up. Zyrtec (10mg Cetirizine HCl), on the other hand has been approved for ages 6 and up.
Starting tomorrow, January 24, 2008, these allergy medications will be available in stores nationwide in the US without a prescription in its original-prescription strength.
The FDA approved ZYRTEC® in 5mg and 10mg tablets, 5mg and 10mg chewable tablets, and 1mg/mL syrup. More info from Zyrtec.
