Win in the Allergy-Proof Bedroom Holiday Giveaway
Filed in archive Gadgets and Tools Against Allergies , Hay Fever on October 25, 2006
We all know that the best way to reduce allergy symptoms is to reduce exposure to allergens. For those with allergies to pollen, dust mites and other air-borne particles, staying indoors is always advised on the assumption that the air inside your home or room is markedly cleaner and safer than outdoors. And because we spend a good fraction of our lives in the bedroom, the levels of allergens in the bedroom can have a very strong impact on our health, too.
How would you like a brand-new allergy proof bedroom? No, I'm not talking about pure rooms like what they have in hotels.

It is essential to cover the mattress, pillows and duvet (comforter) and to launder regularly all uncovered items, preferably at 60 degrees C.The ideal is to get a new bed or at least matress, pillow and duvet (comforter) and cover these with the special covers before they are ever used. Then they will not merely stop dust moving from matress to lungs, but will prevent harmful dust buildup in the first place.
