For sniffles and sneezing bouts brought about by hay fever or allergies to other airborne irritants such as dust mites, mold spores, etc, what anithistamine do you take?
My pill of choice is Claritin (in case you were wondering, no, this is not a paid plug). I've tried Cetirizin several times but in my experience, it just takes too long until the relief comes. With Claritin, the effect kicks in within just a few minutes, which is what I need, because I have the habit of putting off popping the pill as long as possible. So when I do take my allergy medications, my nose is almost raw, so I need something that works really fast.
How about you? Are some of you still on the pseudoephedrine-containing medicines that are no longer available OTC?

hi ruth! i don't have a favorite one, but for hubby we're trying out quercetin (a natural antihistamine) in food form and capsules. but then spring hasn't really hit yet where we are so we'll know better if it works when the pollen flies.
