Allergy to Drugs
by ruth on September 11, 2008
Pardon the temporary hiatus. With a new baby in the house, blogging time has become a very precious commodity lately. I've brought my baby for her second round of immunizations the other day and she's still a bit out-of-sorts and well, so am I!
With my first-born, it never even occurred to me to worry about allergic reactions to vaccines. Allergies was something that happened to other people, not us. Well, nothing untoward happened with him, but a few months later, when he started solids, that's when allergies crept into our sphere of reality. Food allergies, and later allergies to insect stings, pollen, dust mites, as well as asthma, became a big topic in our household.
This time around, with my second child, I think I know too much to relax. Even when experts say that allergic reactions to vaccines are extremely rare, I can't help getting tense. It's been two days, and so far, so good. No signs, no symptoms of allergies. She's a bit fussy, sure, but I think that's the vaccine working and not an allergic reaction.
I suppose I can relax now. Or maybe tomorrow.

In my practice I find many children who are reacting to vaccines, sometimes a year or more after the vaccinations. Think about it. A vaccine is a foreign substance that's added to the baby's body, so while most children don't get severe, obvious reactions, the infant's immune system is on alert, and that can prime it for allergies down the line. We have developed detox salts specifically to help the body's natural detox processes clear the body of the toxic effects of vaccines. They come in a small vial, and it only takes a few salt crystals a day to get the effects. We recommend them for all children who have been vaccinated.
As for your first bubby who already has allergies, they can be treated, and totally without drugs, so it's worth looking into.
