Trick-or-Treat Goodies: ProBug Kefir Drink
Looking for a healthy alternative to candies and sweets to fill trick-or-treaters' goodie bags this Halloween? Try Lifeway Probugsâ„¢. Here's the blurb from the website:
It's our new line of Organic Whole Milk Kefir with fun characters and flavors even the pickiest eaters will like. Not only is it high in protein and calcium, it has added inulin for optimum calcium absorption. Plus it has 10 live and active cultures (friendly bacteria) to help their little bellies and immune system stay healthy. And its easy-to-grip shape and patented no-spill spout make it a perfect no-mess snack - even in the car. Lifeway Probugsâ„¢ Organic Whole Milk Kefir. They'll love everything about it. Especially the bug part.

I am sold on the idea, not just becasue it's a healthy alternative, but also because it's great for kids with food allergies. Just a few days ago, we've reported some preliminary data suggesting that kefir may even help prevent the onset of allergies. And with the packaging, it will also score high on the coolness scale among the little 'uns. What better timing to introduce them to this than Halloween!

Lifeway Probugsâ„¢ comes in two flavors: Orange Creamy Crawler and Sublime Slime Lime. Check out which stores near you carry this product.
