Trick-or-Treat for Food Allergy Coin Collection Campaign

The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) is holding its fourth annual Trick-or-Treat for Food Allergy Coin Collection Campaign, encouraging kids, particularly those with food allergies, to go trick-or-treating, but instead of collecting candies, to collect quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies using a special Trick-or-Treat for Food Allergy Coin Collection Box, which may be ordered online from FAAN (scroll down to Halloween 2006), or at at (800) 929-4040.

All proceeds collected will go to FAAN's food allergy education and research programs. Prizes are awarded to kids for meeting various donation levels ( see prizes). Donations must be postmarked by November 30 for prize-eligibility.

Of course, there are several other means you can support this activity. You may send a donation to FAAN, or placing an ad on your local paper to increase awareness about this campaign. See FAAN's Halloween website for more ideas.
