The Parent's Guide to Food Allergies: Clear and Complete Advice from the Experts on Raising Your Food-Allergic Child
Filed in archive Food Allergies , Gadgets and Tools Against Allergies on March 9, 2007
Here's a book I wish I had when my son first started showing symptoms of multiple food allergies. Right now, there's just nuts and tree nuts that remain really threatening, and he seems to be slowly outgrowing his milk allergies as well as egg allergies. He's four and a half, yo if your child is younger, take heart, there might still be hope for your child, too. But, I digress.
The Parent's Guide to Food Allergies: Clear and Complete Advice from the Experts on Raising Your Food-Allergic Child got very good reviews from parents who got the book, having the highest rating of five stars on Amazon.com. From the editorial review of the book:
To write this book, Marianne barber, whose son has serious food allergies, teamed up with a pediatric allergy specialist and a psychologist who treats many people with severe allergies. The Parent's Guide to Food Allergies addresses in detail the practical, physical, and emotional issues kids and their families face, including vital information on:--handling emergencies --stocking a kitchen with safe, appealing foods--helping a child adjust easily in school --dealing with the stress that having a food-allergic child puts on family relationships--eating in restaurants and traveling. Comprehensive and authoritative, this book is certain to become the bible for anyone with a food-allergic child.
Last time I checked, the book sells for $11.56 at Amazon. Or check out your library or nearest book shop if they carry the book.
