Product Recall: Sun Kee Brand Dried Sweet Potato
Sun Kee Brand Dried Sweet Potato has been recalled from the market by Prosperity Resources Int'l Inc. due to undeclared sulfites which could pose life-threatening reactions to inviduals with sulfite allergy.

The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by food laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared sulfites in Sun Kee Brand Dried Sweet Potato in packages which did not declare sulfites on the label.

The consumption of 10 milligrams of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reaction in some asthmatics. Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 milligrams or more sulfites.

Sold in the U.S. East Coast areas the recalled Sun Kee Brand Dried Sweet Potato is packed in uncoded 12oz plastic packages.
