Petal Cleanse Against Pet Allergies
Filed in archive Gadgets and Tools Against Allergies , Pet Allergies on January 8, 2007
From a previous entry on pet allergies, we already discussed that although hair can trigger allergies, most pet allergies can be due to the pet dander, or proteins in our cat's or dog's saliva, which find their way onto their fur when they lick themselves. Frequent bathing may help, but I came across one product which can also help: Petal Cleanse.
How does it work?
Petal Cleanse™™ /C and /D are clear, mildly-scented solutions for your pet's coat comprised of a delicate balance of Cleanse™rs and moisturizers containing: quarternium salts from the UK, glycerin, amino-acids, B vitamins, aloe vera gel, rosemary and lime flower extracts. The Cleanse™rs gently remove the dander saliva and urine from the coat, and encapsulate the Fel d1, Can f1 and microscopic allergens utilizing this unique proprietary blend of ingredients. The moisturizers condition the coat and skin to further reduce the amount of material shed.
I've no personal experience with this product, but if you'd like more information, have a look at Allergic2Pets' FAQ on Petal Cleanse.

Thanks for the tip! My parents have agot a cat that I am allergic to, I think I'll give it a try. But get this: I had no that it was possible for dogs to have allergies. I just always assumed that my 2-year-old golden had a cute (yet quirky) habit of chewing on her paws. The other day I was watching a video on PetStyle.com and found out that this is a common indicator that she has allergies! Poor thing. PetStyle had some great information and tips (also some really hilarious segments!) to help me figure out how to help her. Did you know dogs can be allergic to cats?! I feel bad that she has spent the past couple years being itchy and uncomfortable while I just assumed she was chewing on her paws for the fun of it, but now I know what the problem is, and how to help her.
