Now that Spring is here, many are itching to transform their bare plots into a myriad of blooms. Many are trooping to the gardening and horticulture stores, loading up on potting soil, seeds, and all sorts of gardening supplies. I

But gardening is an exercise that pose health problems not just to those with pollen allergies, but, tae note, those wit peanut allergies. I just came across a post that says certain seed mixtures contain peanut hulls! Imagine that! Talk about peanuts/peanut traces being present in places that you least expect! If you or your children have peanut allergies, read the labels! It know, you must be tired or this reminder, but it's worrying that we need to be vigilant, not only of the food products that we buy, but well, almost everything!

Gardening is a great spring time activity for children, but make sure you use allergy safe supplies. Mine have their own pots and are planting tomatoes and sunflowers this year. What about yours?
