Pataday Relieves Eye Itchiness Due to Allergies
Here's something that has been demonstrated to relieve itchy eyes due to pollen (hay fever) or pet allergies: topical olopatadine 0.2% (sold under the brand Pataday, manufactured by Alcon, Inc.
"The effectiveness of olopatadine 0.2% [Pataday, Alcon, Inc] in treating ocular itching was demonstrated previously for each study. The current pooled analysis of the studies found that 0.2% olopatadine may benefit patients [who are allergic to] from ragweed, grass, and trees, as well as dander, dust mites, and cat hair," reported William Storms, MD, from the Williams Storms Allergy Clinic, colorado springslinks, Colorado, during a poster presentation on November 11.
