As part of their podcast series, Parent's Magazine has an episode on (food) allergies. It starts with Judy Goldberg, a senior editor at Parents and her son Oliver who has severe nut allergies sharing their story, followed by a discussion with allergy expert Dr. John Oppenheimer. The podcast addresses the basic stuff parents and people with food allergies should know, such as differentiating food allergy from intolerance, dealing with the symptoms, treatments, and current research. At the end, Dr. Oppenheimer leads the listeners to FAAN for more info on food allergies.
The nine minute audio is definitely too short to be detailed, but covers the basic info. Get the podcast on iTunes, or download the mp3 file. Turn on your speakers!
