McMaster University Needs Volunteers for an Allergy Study
Filed in archive Allergy: Research and Development , Hay Fever on February 9, 2007
I'm republishing this news here at Allergizer, in case some you might be interested to participate in a study:
Do you have allergy symptoms? Is your nose runny, stuffy, or itchy most days? Do you experience sneezing and eye symptoms?
If this sounds like you, you may be eligible to participate in a research study. Volunteers are needed for an allergy research study currently taking place at McMaster University. Must be 18 years of age and older. Compensation for your time is available. Call 905- 525-9140, Ext. 22851.
Now, I don't know what the study is all about, and I don't know anything else other than what is written above. However, I went to ClinicalTrials.gov, and found out that the McMaster University is currently recruiting participants to test GrassMATAMPL, a pre-seasonal specific immunotherapy for patients with proven type I hypersensitivity to cross reacting grass pollens causing rhinitis and/or conjunctivitis with or without mild to moderate asthma bronchiale. It may be the same as the study announced above, or it could be entirely different.
If you're interested, call the numbers and find out what it's all about, and if you are eligible to participate.
