Marie Osmond Faints in Dancing with the Stars Due to Allergies?

Filed in archive Other Allergies by ruth on October 25, 2007

In Dancing with the Stars a couple of days ago, Marie Osmond fainted while waiting for the judges' comments. Sure, she was huffing and puffing, but she was laughing and then bam! there she went. See the clip here:

She then went to tell publicists that it was likely due to allergies.
"Right at the beginning ... I started getting lightheaded. The only thing I can think of, I have allergies. ... The air quality (in Los Angeles) is terrible. And I think I just couldn't get my breath," Osmond told "E.T."

Allergies to what?!? Hm, I don't know; doesn't sound convincing to me. She could have said exhaustion, lack of sleep, or food, perhaps. Maybe even... age?!? I mean, I don't want to soudn mean, because she looks hundred times more fit than I am, but I remember that she was already the Marie Osmond of "Donnylinks and Marie" when I was, like, in primary school!

I just wish people would stop blaming every little thing on allergies as it kinda trivializes real allergies.
