LG's New Stainless Steel SteamWasherâ„¢ with Allergieneâ„¢

LG Electronics has recently launched a new line of washing machines touted to be the first washing machine proven to reduce allergens, and as such has been certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America as asthma and allergy friendly. This means that they have met the following:

• They heat the water to the 'hot-wash' temperature which is above 55oC (131oF) which is the temperature required to kill dust mites.


• In the ASL Certification Testing facility they have been proven to kill dust mites.


• They remove 95% or more of household allergens dervived from dust mites and cat dander.

The LG SteamWasher with Allergiene cycle utilizes LG's TrueSteam(TM) Generator for real steam in the wash tub. The steam in LG's SteamWasher allows the wash to reach the appropriate temperature necessary to breakdown and wash out allergens-without harming fabrics.

This washing machines are available in different colors- stainless steel, midnight blue, Wild Cherry red and white - and prices range from $1,399 to $2,699 for the washer unit and $1,199 to $2,699 for the dryer.
