GlaxoSmithKline's fluticasone furoate nasal spray (FFNS) is currently under US FDA review.
Clinical data from two separate Phase III studies of FFNS, recently presented at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), showed that FFNS was effective and well-tolerated in treating a range of nasal allergy symptoms: congestion, sneezing, itchy and runny nose.
Currently under USFDA review for treatment of the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) and perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR), fluticasone furoate nasal spray (FFNS) is an enhanced affinity intranasal corticosteroid (INS) that blocks the action of inflammatory mediators early in and throughout the allergy process.
