Grazax Pill Vaccine Against Hay Fever, Available Soon in the UK
Ey, good news to those in the UK who suffer from hay fever or allergic rhinitis! A vaccine against hay fever in pill form (which was launched in Germany last month) will make it to your pharmacies next month.
It is a form of immunotherapy (desensitisation treatment) containing an extract of timothy grass, and is known to be effective against all forms of grass pollen that cause hayfever in Europe.

The Grazax pill, manufactured by Alk Abello, costs about £2 a day and will have to be taken everyday for at least 8 weeks before and during the summer pollen season. If you're interested in this vaccine in tablet form (no painful jabs, no time consuming trips to the doc), visit your allergist soon to see if this type of immunotherapy suits you.
