Go Dairy Free: Online Resource for the Milk Allergic

Alisa Fleming, author of Dairy Free Made Easy: Thousands of Foods, Hundreds of Tips, and Dozens of Recipes for Non-Dairy Living, emailed me to check out her website, Go Dairy Free, and I agree, it is indeed an excellent resource for the milk allergic, and has additional recipes and product lists for vegans (egg-free, dairy-free), gluten-free, and soy-free.

I also find their list of dairy substitutes to various types of milk and milk products quite comprehensive, and I'm sure a lot of you will find the list useful for your cooking needs.

Alisa herself has milk allergies. Yes, a grown-up, who hasn't outgrown her dairy allergies. Read her story here. Towards the end, she indicates what compelled her to write the book and build the website:
Over the years I have sought out research studies, gathered dietary information, collected recipes, taken up baking, and jotted down hundreds of ideas. I decided to share what I learned with others, and as you can see from this website and my book, it is quite the collection. Whether lactose intolerant, allergic, vegan, or just plain health conscious, I wanted others to know that life without dairy foods can be delicious, healthy, and really quite simple, if you have the right tools.

Hats off, Alisa! You're doing a great job!
