Getting Rid of Dust Mites on Stuffed Toys

When was the last time you washed your curtains? The rug? How about those stuff toys gathering dust on those shelves? If they haven't been in hot water for some time, they are allergen time-bombs!
For other textiles, it's easy. Just toss them in the washer and use the hottest setting the articles can handle. But what about those teddy bears and other delicates?
One option is to FREEZE them for about 24 hours. That will kill the mites, without harming the item. Still, you'll have to rinse the item, though, to get rid of the dead bugs.
