Often at FOOD Allergy Mother gatherings I ask...
How many Mothers have Children with FOOD Allergies > To which many Hands go UP ...
I then ask > How many of your FOOD Allergy Children ALSO have Allergic ASTHMA > To which ( Unfortunately ) more hands than should ... Go UP.
My Point is..
To often Parents ( & Medical) FORGET that there are TWO Sides to the ALLERGY COIN > Enviro & FOOD.
That while FOOD Allergy may or may not subside...
ALLERGY Disease Progression / Allergy MARCH = BIRTH > FOOD allergy / Eczema / Behavioral / Skin Issues > GI > Ear > Respiratory > Allergic Rhinitis >> ALLERGIC ASTHMA > Followed by a Lifetime, Slippery Slope of multiple "Allergy Driven" Diseases, Health Complications & compromised Quality of LIFE Achoo & Ouch !).
Thus said > We believe that while Allergic ASTHMA Can NOT be Cured > We can sure as Heck Try to Prevent Allergy MARCH proceeding to Allergic ASTHMA in our Kids.
How ? > For Genetically PreDisposed ALLERGY INFANTs > Food & Enviro Infant Allergy Blood Tsting at 6-9 mo > Then assuming presence of ALLERGY > Address FOODs via DIET > And if Respiratory exacerbates > Begin SubLingual Immuno-Therapy DROPs.
It is NEVER To Late to STOP the Progression of Allergy Disease moving to Allergic ASTHMA and Beyond...
Test / Identify / Know / TREAT > Your Child's FOOD & Enviro Allergy Disease.
