The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis
Network (FAAN) will be holding will hold a half-day conference themed "Food Allergies: A Brighter Future" in Boston, MA at the Best Western-Inn at Longwood on Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Conference attendees will gain a better understanding of the basic
science behind food allergy and anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction
resulting in hives, swelling, unconsciousness, and possibly death.[snip]
Attendees will also learn the symptoms and causes of allergic
reactions; strategies for food allergy management in schools; and the
latest updates on legislation and allergen or "may contain" labeling.
