A new Swedish study indicates that regular fish consumption may reduce children's risk of developing allergies, in reverse to earlier data which have indicated that eating fish may increase the likelihood of allergies.
The new study is based on the data from 4,100 children whose eating habits they've followed over 8 years. The results show that young children who eat fish are less likely to develop allergic responses and hay fever throughout their Childhood.
In the face of these new data, as long as your child do not have fish allergies, having fish as a regular in the meal plan can only benefit your child. Allergies aside, fish consumption also provide an array of health benefits, particularly on brain development.
