If you suffer from indoor allergies (allergic reaction to pet dander, molds, and dust mites), here's something that might help reduce your symptoms: Febreze Allergen Reducer.
Bearing the Allergy UK's seal of approval, this product is said to reduce at least 75% of airborne allergens from dust mites, cats and dogs that become airborne from fabrics. More product info here.
Febreze Allergen reducer contains a special polymer which is commonly used in the personal care industry, when sprayed onto household fabrics, this polymer anchors allergens down, helping prevent them from becoming airborne.

What a load of garbage! If you have allergies and/or respiratory problems why on earth would you spray yet more chemicals in your home? All Febreze products are highly scented (a big no no for those with allergies and asthma). The most tried and true method of handling allergens in the house is to denature the offending proteins with plant extracts that are both acid and alkali. Alkaline labs makes both ADMS and ADS spray and I would recommend that 500 times over anything scented by Febreze. Check it out at http://allergystore.com/allergencontrol.htm

So TRUE! I have asthma and Febreze triggers an asthma attacks. Last week I sat next to a lady on a plane that had sprayed everything she had on with Febreze and I had to change seats and use my rescue inhaler to make it to the airport. How can spraying a chemical be advertised as reducing allergens? Especially if ones triggers are chemicals.

To Cheryl and Lady S,
I have both allergies and asthma. I searched for many years for a spray that would help freshen the house that didn't send me over the edge with breathing issues. Febreze allergen reducer was the only thing I could find to fit the bill.
Cheryl - Using Febreze the way it is supposed to be used helps prevent the allergens from flying around by confining them to the fabrics when you spray them. Think of it as jumping on top of an attacking animal and holding it down so you can kill it.
Lady S - Thanks to Wal Mart (the store I purchase Febreze at normally) not carrying the allergen reducer anymore for some stupid reason I tried a different type of Febreze. The very first spray from it caused me to start coughing and feeling choked up. This has NEVER happened with the allergen reducer formula of Febreze. I don't know for a fact, but it would be my guess that the woman you mentioned was NOT using the allergen reducer but some other type of Febreze product. I believe it is because the allergen reducer is not heavily perfumed. The same can not be said for other Febreze products.
