There's a new non-sedating antihistamine coming into the US Market. The US FDA has approved levocetirizine dihydrochloride tablets (Xyzal, UCB and sanofi-aventis), a new rapid delivery once-daily prescription antihistamine for long-lasting symptomatic relief of seasonal and perennial allergies, as well as treatment of uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria (in simpler terms: chronic hives of unknown cause) in adults and children six years of age and older.
XYZAL® once-daily tablets are expected to be available during the 2007 fall allergy season. Read more detaiils about Xyzal-how it works, contraindications, side efects, etc- from the NetDoctor. See your allergist and find out is this is suitable for managing your allergies.
