From the Health News Digest: Inhale through our nose when you exercise. Avoid environmental pollutants such as smoke, disinfectants and dust as much as possible. Eat fish and other food items rich in omega -3 fatty acids as well as fruits and veggies; they are believed to help inhibit inflammatory response.
From About.com: Try not to exercise outside when the pollen is at it's highest. Take your allergy medication a few hours --or for those with asthma, use your inhaler a few minutes-- before you go outside. Wear a mask or bandana to decrease the amount of pollen that gets into your nose and lungs.
So there you go. Of course, if you prefer to stay indoors, that's ok, too. Just that personally, I find outdoors too lovely, especially in spring, to stay cooped up indoors. Besides, I've already stayed much too much indoors last winter!
