Dear Santa... From the Allergizer
Filed in archive Allergy Blogs on December 24, 2007

I know I'm too old to be writing to Santa, but if I can make a wishlist and if Santa could read my blog, here's what I'd be asking for:
- More funding for allergy research, to find out the causes, the why's and how's of allergies, to be able to come up with more effective ways of preventing and treating allergies
- More awareness campaigns about how life-threatening some allergies can be
- More sympathy, respect and understanding for allergies from restaurants, food manufacturers, schools, and the public
- More businesses and establishments catering to individuals with allergies, particularly food allergies
- Less, if not zero, cases of anaphylaxis and deaths due to allergies, be it food allergy, bee sting allergy, or some other form of allergy
- More allergists particularly in places where it takes months to get an appointment with one
And on a personal note, I wish my next child won't have multiple allergies like my first born.

I don't if you have heard of this product or if your kid only has food Allergies. However if your child is having any trouble sleeping you should try IntellAtex Negative Ion Allergen Control Bedding. It is a new product that has been scientifically proven to trap and immobilizes positive charged allergens. Once they are trapped they are eliminated by normal household laundering. To learn more about this product and watch a video visit http://www.myfavoritestyles.com/intellatex.aspx

Hi Will! Thanks for the link. However, I have a question: What are positively-charged allergens?!? You mean the charge of the protein? Wouldn't these "positively charged allergens" be removed by detergent (which is alkaline?)

I asked him to develop an auto-injector which is smaller, easier to transport and more tolerant to the cold temperature we have where I live. I do hope his elves will be able to meet the challenge.
