In a previous entry, I discussed how important it is for children to learn about their own food allergies, and for them to accept that there are food items that they simply have to avoid. It's not easy, and can become an issue as they grow up and see other children who are able to eat problem-free.
Luckily, my son has learned to accept that certain foods will make him ill, and seems to have taken his food sensitivities without much resentment. I wish I knew about Cody the Allergic Cow: A Children's Story of Milk Allergies before. It seems like a fun, relaxed way for children to learn about milk allergies. And perhaps, it could be a step in empowering children to take charge of their health.
