Being Allergy Alert, Even During Holidays
Welcome back to me! I've just returned from a short holiday, and while we've had a splendid time frolicking in the sand and sunshine, our vacation was slightly marred by a peanut allergy reaction towards the end of our holiday. The culprit was a bread roll that my son got himself from the breakfast buffet. The same basket he got the rolls in the previous 5 days we've been at the resort. Unfortunately, that day, there were a few rolls with chopped peanuts. One bite and that was it. Fortunately, it was a minor reaction and his body stopped heaving by lunchtime, just in time for us to pack and get to the airport.

As you can imagine, I was filled with remorse. How could I have slackened? How could it have happened? Shouldn't we have known better, shouldn't we have been more vigilant?

I can't remember when his last food allergy reaction prior to this incident was. Which just shows how, just when you start to forget it, just when you start to think everything's normal and there's nothing to worry about, something happens to show you it isn't.
