The only food-allergy awareness T-shirts Douglas could find featured a large image of the allergy food with a giant "X" through it - a direct message that lacked the "cool factor" Douglas thought would help break the ice.
So Douglas, whose daugter also suffers from food allergies, came up with shirts with fun designs with cartoon figures and funny captions. The whole array, if you're interested, can be found here (doesn't display well with Firefox, though).
My opinion? Plus points for coolness factor. Would be a great way to promote awareness about food allergies, and perhaps make light of the condition, and make kids feel better. But that's where the danger lies.
If I were to buy such garments, my primary audience would be the adults surrounding my child. To let them know of my child's condition, to prevent the mishap of someone giving an offensive food by accident. For that purpose, I don't think the GreatBones collection is the best choice. I fear that the design would distract from the medical message I'd want to impart.
My two cents.

allergies/intolerances. She is also on a feeding tube. I am the one
educating others on the importance. I am starting a walk to raise awareness on food allergies in the community. I would also like to have booths up and hand out flyers. Is
there anyway I can have your support? Thanks....
