Allergy Free Alternatives to Easter Candy

© Visit HillsboroughWith Easter just around the corner, I'm sure most of you have all things prepared for Easter Sunday. If you are organizing an Easter Egg Hunt for children with food allergies, and don't what to put into the "nests" aside from colored eggs, why not consider putting in some non-food items? I myself have bought a couple of bags of gummy bears in packets, and will probably get some egg- and bunny-shaped nut-free chocolates, but I think that's about it for sweets.
If you are running out of ideas, why not recycle our ideas for alternatives to Halloween candy? I'm sure the kids will have as much fun finding useful small gifts in their Easter egg nests like whistles, bouncing balls, pencils, fancy erasers, plastic jewelry, stickers, temporary tattoos, etc.
Happy Egg Hunting!
