Airconditioned School Rooms, Please

I just have to reprint part of this letter published online at theCambridge Times' Viewpoint, which points out that while alleged terrorists are being held in airconditioned rooms, school kids are sweating it out in portables (I had to look up the meaning of 'portables' in the context of schools, as this is a concept unheard of here in Germany).

Given that fact and the fact that rates of allergies and asthma are skyrocketing in children, shouldn't we be thinking of providing at least the same quality of air to our children - who are our future - and their teachers that we are providing to the criminals who would destroy that future?

Well, he does have a point. How are the conditions in the schools in your area?
